What are Hopi Ear Candles33

Ear candling, a traditional therapy used by the Ancient Greeks and popularised by native American Indians this  therapy was handed  down by many shaman healers.

Unlike wax candles, a Hopi ear candle is actually a hollow cotton tube, impregnated with  100% pure beeswax, honey extracts, sage, st john’s wort, cotton flax  and chamomile . The ingredients have anti-bacterial ,anti-inflammatory,  and astringent properties in them  to  reduce inflammation, relax the nervous system reduce mucus secretions and fight infections.

How the Hopi Ear Candles Work

The ear candle  is painlessly inserted into the outer ear canal the client is fully clothed and lays comfortably on their side.  The ear candle is then lit (at the opposite end) . The oils, which are impregnated into the cotton, vaporizes and are drawn down the hollow center of the candle into the outer portion of the tube.

The candles work like a chimney, drawing impurities out. Most are burned away, although some may be found in the candle wax residue  after it is removed from the ear. None of the candle residue actually goes into the ear.

The candle  creates a pleasant crackling sound the column of warm air rising in the candle is said to massage the ear drum while pressure in the sinus cavities and ears is equalised. This action helps to regulate the pressure within the head including the sinuses, which may be infected.

Any blockage or build up within the sinuses or ear are gently loosened up and broken down, passing out through the lymphatic system . To maximum the benefits of this treatment a face massage is include  this will   encouraging  lymphatic drainage to the face and sinuses, We finish off with a relaxing scalp massage.
